When we spoke to him last week, they were at the DNC about to do Operation First Casualty. Independent news sources describe mass arrests in preemptive raids of activists in Minneapolis. Amy Goodman, among those arrested, states that almost 300 people have already been arrested by the end of the first day of the convention.

Unfortunately he was running late coming in from Atlanta and we were unable to get an interview with him last night. We will, however, have a chance to talk to him in a phone interview in the near future. He has devoted the majority of his life to human rights issues and is a former Marine. This should prove to be a great interview.

Additionally, Howard Zinn’s wife passed from this earth this week and we will have to reschedule his interview to a later date. Our thoughts are with him in his time of sorrow and we wish him and his family well.
