Bedazzled by your 7 Layers

April 21, 2008 by onair

Tune in tonight for another exciting installment of 7 Layer Dip. We’ve got an enticing melange of found audio, obscure soundtracks, a whole bunch of songs that sound dirty, but really aren’t, and if you are a good listening audience…we’ll read you a story.

Be sure to listen for the thickest layer of tonight’s dip: The Most Unwanted Music. An online poll conducted in the ’90s set Vitaly Komar, Alex Melamid and David Soldier on a quest to create the most annoying song ever. After gathering data about people’s least favorite music and lyrical subjects, they did the unthinkable: they combined them into a single monstrosity, specifically engineered to sound unpleasant to the maximum percentage of listeners. But don’t worry, we also have their composition of “The Most Wanted Music” to soothe your tattered nerves.

All this and more tonight and every Monday night from 10 to Midnight on WPVM!!!!
