THE FRIENDLY OOZE
We had a great time flying to California last week . Thanks to all of you who joined us. Those of you missed it can feel it till Thursday at the archive page of this site. This week lets escape the topsy turvy weather. WPVM has generously offered to fly the Ooze Out staff to the Friendly Islands. That’s right Polynesia. (Thanks Wally! Thanks Jason!). If the equipment works we will be broadcasting live from the beach while our staff members put on the play “Knocked Up” for the natives.

Ooze Out Update
March 24, 2008 by onairWordplay last Sunday
March 22, 2008 by onairfeatured Chattanooga poet Chad Prevost, author of Snapshots of the Vanishing World (out from Cherry Grove Press in 2006) and Chasing the Gods, a chapbook (Pudding House, 2007). It was a fun show, and Chad read several of his hilarious new mock-autobiographical prose pieces. It’ll be available as online stream and podcast from the Archive page through Sunday, er, tomorrow.
I’m still going through recordings for tomorrow’s show, but it will feature Jonathan Williams, who passed on last Sunday night at the age of 79.
Enjoy,
Jeff
PS: We now have an email address for the show: wordplayradio@gmail.com. Drop us a note!

The truth on wpvm: St Patrick was….a..
March 21, 2008 by onair…French man , oui !
(This picture actually does not show him yet with his mustache )
Patrick spent 15 years as a disciple of St. Germanus of Auxerre in France , and was ordained about the year 417. There is still a strong cultus of Patrick in France, especially around St. Patrice, a town named for him, the local people firmly believe (and they are right ) that Patrick was the nephew of St. Martin of Tours and served as a monk in his uncle’s great Marmoûtiers Abbey.
At Marmoûtiers today there is a stone bed alleged to have been slept on by Patrice. St. Germanus consecrated Patrice bishop about the year 432, and Pope St. Celestine I sent Patrice to succeed St. Palladius, who had been the first bishop of Ireland.
THE PARIS OF THE SOUTH RADIO HOUR invite you to hear today excusively FRENCH CELTIC MUSIC , and a report , courtesy of RFI , about a french delicacy : LES CREPES from BRITTANY.
Enjoy !
CLICKhere so THE truth SHALL prevail!

The band TRI Yann / the best known celtic band in France, they are one of the longest-standing Breton music groups surviving from the folk rock revival of the 1970s. The group are famous for the outlandish costumes worn on stage.

March 18, 2008 by onair
Noam Chomsky stops by (well…via phone anyway) and he chats with Jason Hurd and James Latimore about Winter Soldier, Iraq and their lack of coverage in the mainstream media.
This is the first half of the interview and we will air the second half on March 26th. Watch video testimony from Winter Soldier at IVAW.org.
In our arts segment, Kindra reads a poem from Warrior Writers.
Look for Winter Soldier coverage coming soon.
