I am sure you do … but just in case …
This week in the Paris of the South Radio Hour we first check on the traffic gridlock that is gripping the French capital. President Nicolas Sarkozy’s promised labor reforms went head-to-head with transport and utility unions, who launched an open-ended nationwide strike more than a week ago.
We also revisit Mr. Sarkozy’s trip to Washington, his warm welcome by the US congress, and, for dessert, you listen to a most outrageous bantering betwen the French president and a Briton fisherman .
Then, meet Sarah Colton, author of the novel TILT 68 “From Vietnam to The Pill, from Fraternity Parties to Existentialism”. Tilt 68 brings to life the radical changes of the late 60s from a Southern female’s perspective.
Sarah comments on the times and reads a few excerpts from TILT 68 which is published by High Tower Books and available in downtown Asheville at The Captain’s Bookshelf, Malaprop’s, and Accents on Books.
Finally we check the status on SEX AND RELIGION with a review on :
The Convent of the devil / el convento del diablo
(a white dog project X). GILES COLLARD joins us in the studio. Asheville Contemporary Dance Theatre presented a USA – Mexico collaboration, “The Convent of the Devil” (or “Our Demons”), a dance drama based on the Urbain Grandier affair in 17th century France.
ITE MISSA EST !
