Also this week, Easy Mark interviews internationally renown audio artist, Gregg Gillis of Girl Talk. He plays sold-out shows all over the world and appears this week at Asheville’s own Orange Peel.
Girl Talk mixes pop, hip hop, soft rock, party classics, grunge, R&B, bootie-shakers, and rock anthems together to please both dance-crazed masses and mash up connoisseurs. Mark Hosler of Negativland has declared Girl Talk’s latest album, Night Ripper, “a plunderphonics party record.”
And last but not least, a musically remixed commentary from Mumia Abu Jamal. Fascism anyone?
